The Harbour Centre is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) based in the county of Norfolk, UK. The Harbour Centre offers the facility for medical examinations for rape and sexual assault victims without police involvement; this is to help the victim feel at ease when coming forward to report the crime.
The Harbour Centre is a venture between Norfolk Constabulary and NHS Great Yarmouth. To bring awareness to the Centre, I was tasked to design and construct the website, but due to the dark nature of the subject, the brief was to keep the aesthetics simple and pleasing.
It only took three weeks from start to finish to complete the project and the website is W3C compliant, meets accessibility, as well as working in all major browsers including Internet Explorer 6.
